Trustees and management
The Foundation is overseen by its trustees: Mr Lerato Bodibe (Founder and Chairperson), Mrs Paballo Coetzee-Motlahasedi and Mr Charles Phiri. Ms Kaytleynne Smith is the Programme Manager.
The Foundation’s origins are connected to ROCVEST and its commitment to social investment. Companies that support the Foundation, including ROCVEST and its businesses, are acknowledged as partners and do not direct beneficiary decisions.
Accountability commitments
- Agree how resources will be used before a partnership begins.
- Document delivery and report on the actual scope of each partnership.
- Keep ambitions and targets clearly separate from recorded results.
- Handle participant information responsibly, with particular care for children and vulnerable people.
Donation Policy
Donations are received and applied in line with the Foundation’s Donation Policy. In summary:
- Donations designated to a programme or fund are used for that purpose. If a designated purpose can no longer be met, we contact the donor before redirecting funds.
- Undesignated donations go to the General Fund and are applied where the need is greatest.
- Every donation is acknowledged and recorded so that it can be traced to its use.
- We do not accept donations that would compromise our independence, our values or the dignity of the people we serve.

Tax receipts
If you need a Section 18A tax certificate for your donation, please contact us before you donate so we can confirm what documentation the Foundation can issue.
Measuring and reporting
We distinguish outputs (what was delivered), outcomes (what changed in access, knowledge or participation) and longer-term opportunity (what happened next). Participation is not the same as completion, and completion is not the same as employment. Partners receive reporting as agreed in their partnership.
Privacy Policy
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
- What we collect: information you give us through forms, emails and applications, such as your name, contact details, organisation and the details of your enquiry.
- Why: to respond to you, assess applications, manage donations and partnerships, and send updates you asked for.
- Children: applications for anyone under 18 must be made or consented to by a parent or legal guardian.
- Sharing: we do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, or with programme partners where necessary and agreed.
- Your rights: you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to its processing, by emailing donations@bodibefoundation.org. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
- Images and stories: we publish photographs and stories of beneficiaries only with consent, and with a parent or guardian’s consent for anyone under 18.
