Lerato Bodibe’s journey from QwaQwa in the Free State to building businesses across multiple industries has shaped his view of opportunity. Education, exposure, technology, mentorship and access to the right networks can fundamentally change the trajectory of a person’s life.
The Foundation was established to extend those opportunities to young people whose potential might otherwise be restricted by their circumstances.
A technologist and entrepreneur
Lerato holds an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology in Intelligent Industrial Systems, with a focus on artificial intelligence and robotics.
He is the Founder & CEO of ROCVEST, a South African digital transformation and technology company he established in 2013, and the author of Entrepreneurship Is Not for Everyone! Is It for You?
That experience informs the Foundation’s interest in entrepreneurship, future skills, technology, leadership and education.
Bigger than one person
Lerato is the origin of the Foundation’s purpose, but the Foundation is designed to stand on its own: an institution, overseen by its trustees, that gives partners a platform to contribute to the development of children and young people for generations.
